Yin Yoga is a very quiet and still practice with postures mainly on the floor held for longer periods of time. Poses in Yin focuses on stressing the joints rather than stressing the muscles with faster paced flows like Vinyasa.

TYPES OF FLOW

50 Minutes

FULL BODY RELEASE

This a full body release where we start with breathing exercises to calm the mind and move into the flow where each pose is held between 2 – 5 minutes ending the session with savasana. This is a great way to unwind and let go.

HIP OPENING

Focused on releasing stagnant energy from our hips where we not only hold physical tension but emotional stress. This flow will get deep into your hip sockets. Watch out for any emotions that arise during practice, accept & continue breathing.

HEART OPENING

Releasing blockages associated with the heart, we hold poses between 2-5 minutes focusing on our upper body including chest and shoulders. Our upper body is known to house stress so this practice is a wonderful way to relax & reset. 

60 Minutes

WALL YIN

Starting with a brief breathing exercise against the wall and then going into each wall posture holding them for about 3-5 minutes each. The wall is there to support you and allow you to go deeper into the pose focusing on building your flexibility while reducing stress on the lower back.

YINYASA FUSION

A combination of Vinyasa & Yin; the first 30 minutes focuses on a gentle yang flow, great to stretch & strengthen the body, followed by the last 30 minutes which focuses on a deep yin flow with passive long held poses targeting our joints to improve flexibility
